Q: Where do the students get the form and instructions to complete the search?
A: CBSP will supply the universities designated contact with access to the form which will direct the student to our secure site and guide them thorough the entire process.
Q: What if the student doesn’t own a computer?
A: No worries! The student can use any computer, anywhere, which has access to the Internet. Or, if easier for the student, she / he may fax the completed form to us and we will take care of the rest.
Q: What if we have questions regarding the results of a background check?
A: CBSP always recommends that you coordinate any questions regarding a student’s background check with your legal department. The staff at CBSP are trained, professional background screeners who are always happy to assist you.
Q: Should I screen the same student each year?
A: That depends on your internal policy. CBSP recommends an annual background check for each returning student; a lot can happen in a year! To this end, CBSP can set your account up to automatically run another background check on any student at any interval you choose.
Q: We have many students who come to our school from different countries. Can you screen these students?
A: Yes, we also provide international criminal checks. These, however, would cost more than a domestic search.
